Proud Mary Network is a queer cannabis community platform dedicated to creating visibility, safety, and connection for LGBTQ+ people in the cannabis industry. Their work focuses on building spaces where community members can gather, network, and celebrate culture while also addressing equity and representation in a historically exclusionary industry. The programming spans in-person activations, industry events, and digital community gatherings.

Hot Rabbit x Proud Mary Pool Party

Hot Rabbit x Proud Mary Pool Party was a large-scale outdoor summer activation combining nightlife, experiential design, and community partnership. The event featured ten 20-foot lounge pools, live performances, food trucks, vendor activations, and branded lounge areas, creating a full-day destination experience.

The collaboration expanded audience reach through shared promotion while maintaining cohesive creative direction across ticketing, digital promotion, and on-site environments.

  • Led visual identity, messaging, event flow, and promotional strategy, aligning audiences through cross-channel marketing and UGC-driven social engagement. Coordinated vendors, live performances, and sponsor activations.

Networking Event Series

The Diversity in Cannabis Mixer series was designed as a recurring in-person networking event for LGBTQ+ cannabis professionals and allies. Each gathering brought together founders, operators, creatives, and advocates to build relationships, share opportunities, and strengthen representation within the industry.

  • I developed the visual and experiential direction for the series, focusing on creating an environment that felt welcoming, community-driven, and culturally specific. The events were designed to balance networking with celebration, ensuring attendees felt both professionally supported and socially connected.

    • Partnerships: Multiple brand and retail collaborations formed through events

Online Event Series

During COVID-19, Proud Mary expanded into digital programming to maintain community connection and continue supporting queer voices in cannabis. These virtual events became a cultural lifeline, blending education, entertainment, and advocacy in an accessible online format.

  • I helped shape the creative direction and structure for a series of digital events that translated the energy of in-person gatherings into virtual spaces. Programming included Dragstravaganza, a Pride-focused drag and performance event; Queer Bingo, an interactive community game night; Cannabis Brunch, a social smoke-and-share experience; and Pot Talk, a conversation series featuring industry influencers in collaboration with Honeysuckle Magazine. These events combined performance, education, and dialogue to strengthen community engagement during isolation.
